CVBIA installs 2021 officers, directors Jeff Bruzzesi was installed Tuesday, Dec. 8, as 2021 president of Coastal Virginia Building Industry Association. Queen named 2020 Member of the Year
Member honored for achievements in 2020 Outgoing CVBIA President Ryan Rose presented the 2020 Member of the Year award to John Queen of R.K. Chevrolet. Queen is a strong advocate for the association, recruiting members throughout the year and bringing in the most new members during a recent recruitment campaign.
Scholarship House proceeds are announced
Sam Cohen of Joey Corp. and Scott Gandy of Kempsville Building Materials teamed up last year to build a very special house at the 2019 Homearama: the Coastal Virginia Building Industry Association Scholarship House. Upon the home’s recent sale, they donated $17,000 to the CVBIA Scholarship Foundation. “It had been eight years since a Scholarship House was built and since the market had started to recover, I thought it was important that we bring back an annual tradition that began in 1966,”
CVBIA announces 2020 scholarship recipients
$35,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDEDSeven local high school students were awarded a total of $35,000 from the Coastal Virginia Building Industry Association Scholarship Foundation during its annual academic awards program.
